Everton are still tracking Inter Milan star Luis Henrique, a year on after missing out on his signature.

The Brazilian has been enjoying a successful campaign in the Serie A so far, with the Nerazurri currently top of the league table and needing just one more win to secure the title.

Everton, on the other hand, have taken a tumble in their pursuit of European football, with back-to-back losses.

The Toffees will be looking to set themselves up in a better position next season to make their goals of featuring in European competition a much smoother journey.

An Everton move for Henrique could help propel them, but his position at Inter this season could hint at David Moyes looking to try something new at Hill Dickinson.

How Luis Henrique could signal changing David Moyes style at Everton

Everton had been tracking Henrique for some time and even going back to last year before his move to Inter, and since making the switch, the Brazilian has been deployed in a new position.

That change could be a further reason as to why Moyes looks to go back in for the Brazilian, as more reports tie him with Everton.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Everton are one of the many clubs "watching the player closely" who could be signed for £17.3million. Additionally, a loan plus option to buy could be agreed upon as well.

Although Henrique has spent a large portion of his career out on the left wing, this season for Inter, he has been solely used in a wing-back role.

The Brazilian either starts in place of Federico Di Marco or Denzel Dumfries or is brought on for them off the bench.

If Moyes has been impressed by the Inter star's performances this season, then he may look to use the 24-year-old in a similar way in his setup.

At Everton, Jake O'Brien is often used on the right of defence but lacks the attacking threat that a player such as Henrique would offer.

Interest in the Brazilian could signal a braver approach from the Scotsman ahead of next season, as on paper he looks to be a misfit for Everton's current style.

Moyes will love Luiz Henrique's versatility

Henrique is capable of playing in numerous positions across the pitch, and that will no doubt be another reason Moyes will be interested.

As well as being a winger and primarily a right wing-back this season, as stated before, he can be deployed on the left as well.

That level of versatility offers the Everton manager plenty of solutions in games, especially if the Blues are struggling to break down a defence.

Overall, Henrique's ability to play in both attack and defensive positions signals a change in approach at Hill Dickinson Stadium next season, and an exciting one at that.
