Harrison Armstrong 'has everything' as Everton told they have their very own Declan Rice
Harrison Armstrong has received some incredible backing at Everton.
The England Under-21 international has started in every Premier League game for the Toffees this season to become a key player for David Moyes.
Hill Dickinson Stadium was up in arms in the summer over the 19-year-old midfielder almost being sold to Nottingham Forest.
Armstrong has progressed through Everton's youth ranks and is now a pivotal member of the first team.
There's no doubt that the young midfielder possesses plenty of potential to go all the way to the top.
Moyes and the Merseyside outfit have a gem on their hands who has been tipped to reach similar heights as Arsenal and England star Declan Rice.
Why Don Hutchison has backed Harrison Armstrong at Everton
Don Hutchison, who served as Everton captain during his playing career, has massive expectations of Armstrong.
The former midfielder believes the young Englishman has all the attributes to reach Rice's level.
Having watched Armstrong in the Toffees' 2-0 loss to Arsenal on Saturday, Hutchison seems to not doubt the youngster's qualities.
The England Under-21 international will enter the final year of his contract at the end of the season and it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
Writing on X on 25 October, Hutchison said, "Armstrong, in my opinion, has everything. He could go to the very top.
"Calm on the ball. Covers the ground well. Nice balance. Very good passer. I’m not saying he is better or the same, but watching him yesterday, he could get close to Declan Rice's standards."
Why David Moyes team selection has frustrated at Hill Dickinson Stadium
Armstrong has given Moyes every reason to keep starting him at Everton, but some other players may not be so fortunate.
Vitalii Mykolenko is the only natural left-back in the Scottish manager's squad as he refused to trust Adam Aznou.
Brennan Johnson returned to the starting line-up against Arsenal, but the Wales international hasn't done enough to earn a regular spot.
Hayden Hackney has struggled for game time, similar to Tyler Dibling, with Moyes reluctant to use them.
With all of the carnage happening around him, it's very clear that Armstrong has to be the constant in the heart of this Everton side now.
Long may it continue.
