Jack Grealish was spotted in an intense debate with Michael Oliver after Everton's 3-3 draw with Manchester City.

David Moyes' side were 3-1 but allowed Pep Guardiola's side to come back and potentially salvage their title ambitions through goals from Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku.

The Citizens loanee was in attendance, watching his parent club and his loan club fight it out for a point each.

His future beyond the season is yet to be resolved, with the Toffees eyeing another loan or a permanent move for the 30-year-old.

Grealish proved his love for the Blues as he was passionately remonstrating with the referee after the contest.

Grealish clash with Oliver emerges after Everton draw

Grealish seemed to suggest nothing had been decided on his Everton future, in a discussion that Andy Hinchcliffe revealed in the coverage of the game.

However, footage has now come to light of him looking angry when talking to Oliver, after the controversial ending to the game.

The official then walks down the tunnel, looking not too pleased, suggesting that the Blues star said something that he did not like, perhaps about the extra time or lack of a penalty.

Why Grealish needs to return to Everton

While it will likely never be known what Grealish was talking to Oliver about, it is not a wild suggestion that it was about the decisions against Moyes' side, rather than sticking up for the club that pushed him aside.

He has fully bought into the culture on Merseyside, and it would be no surprise if he was as livid as Moyes and Co that they were not given the calls that they felt like they deserved.

The equaliser was scored after the allotted six minutes of added time, and Bernardo Silva was not punished for holding and dragging down Merlin Rohl in the penalty area.

Grealish's passion and buy-in with supporters suggest that he wants to return to the Hill Dickinson Stadium next season, but whether the finances will all work out remains to be seen.

It would be a huge shame if he did not end up in L3, and the Friedkin Group need to pull out all the stops to get it done.
