Jamie Carragher predicts four-year first for Man United in trip to Everton

Jamie Carragher has shared his prediction ahead of Everton's Premier League clash with Manchester United this weekend.

The mood is low around Hill Dickinson Stadium heading into Sunday afternoon's showdown with the Red Devils due to events off the field.

Everton endured a dreadful transfer deadline day, with David Moyes now left light up top - and elsewhere - for the next three months.

However, results have been positive on the pitch to start the campaign as the Toffees followed up a win over Crystal Palace with a late draw at Bournemouth.

United, meanwhile, were stunned 2-0 by Hull City on the opening weekend, prior to coming from behind to beat Ipswich Town 5-2 last weekend.

It sets up an intriguing contest on Merseyside, one in which Carragher can see a four-year first.

Gary Neville has already predicted a 2-1 win for Man United at Everton, while Roy Keane opted for a 1-1 draw.

Completing a clean sweep of different outcomes, Carragher has gone with a 2-1 home win this weekend.

"I believe United will face a tougher test [than Arsenal versus Chelsea] this weekend and can see them losing away to Everton," Carragher said in his Sky Sports Super 6 predictions.

Everton have not won at home to Man United in four years - a run stretching back five matches, during which time they have lost three and drawn one.

What Everton can achieve for just a second time at Hill Dickinson

Everton were 2-0 winners over Crystal Palace on the opening weekend.

It means they can win successive league games at their still-new Hill Dickinson Stadium for just a second time since moving in a year ago.

However, Everton have won just three of their past 22 Premier League matches against United - one of those coming at Old Trafford last season.

It is a game that is certainly there to be won if Moyes' men can put the off-field turmoil from the past week to one side.
