It will be good to see each player featuring for their nation, but the L3 faithful will be keen to see Branthwaite back with the Three Lions.

He has a chance to secure a cap for the first time since 2024.

The 24-year-old has been superb for Everton this season and will be keen to make a spot in the starting XI under Thomas Tuchel his own.

It is a different story for O'Brien who instead looking to prove a point to Moyes.

The defender is likely to be a regular for Ireland despite being limited to just 16 minutes of Premier League action this season.

If he can put in positive performances in the Nations League against Kosovo, Israel and Austria, the Everton boss will have to sit up and take notice.

If both they can both prove their quality on the international stage, it will make for an interesting return to Merseyside in October.
