Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall annoyed by what he's heard about Everton - here's why

Everton's difficult end to the transfer window has been well publicised.

The Toffees allowed several fringe players to depart, with Beto, Nathan Patterson, and Adam Aznou departing full time or on loan.

Moreover, they thought United States striker Folarin Balogun was joining from Monaco until he had a late change of heart.

It has left David Moyes with a threadbare squad, which has just one senior striker, and no expert cover at right or left-back.

There has been plenty of doom and gloom said about Everton as a result of the dire end to the window they had.

But Moyes regular Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been left frustrated by some of the external noise he has heard.

What has Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall said about Everton's squad?

You can certainly understand why Everton supporters are frustrated by what happened in the transfer window.

And it has led to larger concerns about the commitment of the Friedkin Group moving forward.

But some of the doomsday comments about Everton's season have probably been a bit over the top given there are some top players still on the books.

That is something Dewsbury-Hall alluded to, with the attacking midfield confident in the quality the Toffees have at their disposal.

In quotes reported by the Liverpool Echo, Dewsbury-Hall said:"I’ve seen all of the stuff, all of the meltdowns and this and that.

"And in all honestly it annoyed me a bit because, I get where people are coming from, everyone wants to sign everyone and have the perfect squad, but there are still [a group of] lads in this building who are going to hopefully take this club to good things this year."

More than one thing true at a time with Everton

You can totally understand why Dewsbury-Hall would be frustrated from a player's perspective.

As he says, there are plenty of good players in the team, and a solid start to the campaign is proof of that.

But, as with most things, more than one thing can be true at a time, and this whole scenario is proof of that.

Yes, there are some really good players in this squad, and if they all stay fit it is a team that should definitely be trying to muscle into the question for European football.

However, you simply cannot overlook how dismal the end to the window was, nor how scattergun the thinking was throughout the whole summer.

You can understand why supporters are so concerned, but the Toffees fanbase will back their team while asking the right questions of the owners you can be sure of that.
