Jordan Pickford added another moment to his highlight reel as Everton beat Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The English goalkeeper was monumental for the Toffees in the 2-0 win over the Eagles at Hill Dickinson Stadium on 22 August.

With the Blues' defence under constant pressure in the first half, the England international had one of the best moments of the game.

Eddie Nketiah had the goal almost all to himself after being played in behind the Merseyside outfit's defenders by Adam Wharton in the 17th minute, but the striker couldn't get his shot past the 32-year-old goalkeeper.

David Moyes has the shot-stopper to thank for winning the three points in the Premier League season opener.

Leon Osman's take on Jordan Pickford save in Everton win vs Crystal Palace

Pickford left Tim Sherwood with his hands on his head in the Sky Sports studio and Leon Osman was also left impressed by the moment.

The former Toffees midfielder couldn't believe the save from the English goalkeeper after Nketiah's shot.

It highlighted how good the shot-stopper is when he's at his best.

The entire sequence, from Wharton's pass to Pickford's save, left the commentary team amazed.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, commentator Jonathan Beck said, "Lovely, beautifully flighted ball. It's Nketiah. That's a fabulous save. That's world-class. Onto the frame of the goal."

Leon Osman added, "Nearly everything about that was world-class. This ball from Adam Wharton is sensational. Really good first touch. Once he hits the shot, Nketiah thinks he has scored. That's Pickford at his best. What a save that is."

Every Everton player who'll have their future to play for in 2026-27 Premier League season

What new season could have in store for David Moyes at Hill Dickinson Stadium

It looks like Pickford will continue to produce game-defining moments for Everton this season.

Moyes will also be delighted to see Iliman Ndiaye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall kicking off where they left off in the previous campaign.

Hayden Hackney looks like an astute addition in the midfield, while Tyrique George also had his moments against Palace.

Thierno Barry's goal will also be an encouraging sight for the home fans and puts him in great stead for the rest of the campaign.

Despite right-back being a concern this transfer window, the experiment with Merlin Rohl in the position also seems to be working and the aim has to be challenging for a European finish in the Premier League.
