Paul Pogba sends message to Everton striker Thierno Barry after draw vs Hull City
Thierno Barry is the main man for Everton right now.
Whether fans like it or not, the ex-Villarreal striker is the only number nine available to David Moyes.
After a disappointing end to the summer transfer window, Beto was allowed to leave before a move for Folarin Balogun collapsed.
The Friedkin Group and Angus Kinnear have faced heavy scrutiny since, but Barry hasn't let that affect him.
Everton drew 2-2 with Hull on Sunday to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.
Barry scored the second, and Paul Pogba clearly loved what he saw.
What did Thierno Barry post on social media?
Like many in modern football, the striker can find himself online a little too much for some fans liking.
The same happened after his friends were in altercations with Everton fans away at Arsenal last season.
Celebrating his goal and seemingly the draw at Hull, Barry took to his personal Instagram account with two images.
The first was him dabbing as a celebration, and the second was actually Pogba doing the same from his time at Juventus.
With no caption, that's all he decided to post from the game.
Pogba enjoyed it, replying in the comments with, "dab on them" and some flame emojis for the striker.
He also reposted it on his stories to 63.4million followers.
Are Everton fans accepting Thierno Barry?
While this is seen as very child-like by many, you can't ignore the effort that he's putting in every week.
After an indifferent first year in the Premier League, being left as the only number nine is big pressure on his shoulders.
Barry scored eight goals in 41 appearances across all last season, and now, he's already hit six in eight.
So, the improvement is there.
The main frustration for fans would be that he is still missing some huge chances, so could be even better.
It brings back memories of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but of course, Barry is much younger and will only get better.
The game against Hull was the perfect example, he took his goal confidently after racing through, but then missed easier opportunities to make it more.
Barry has the striker spot to himself and is improving, so he'll keep getting the support that he needs.
Let's hope it continues to happen.
