Preston vs Everton postponement latest as Met Office issue new storm warning

It won't be an easy evening against Championship opposition, though.

And looking at the weather, it may not be easy on the eye for anyone watching on.

Could Preston vs Everton be postponed?

Given the quality of stadiums and pitches throughout England, it's highly unlikely at this stage.

The Met Office have extended their yellow warning for thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday.

It now covers Preston, heading further north from its starting point around Manchester and Liverpool earlier in the week.

After months of incredibly warm weather and heat waves in England, the possibilities of rain and thunder are growing each day.

Despite that, the Carabao Cup game should go ahead without issue, just the players and fans likely taking a drenching.

Will David Moyes make changes at Deepdale?

Should some or most of those rotation options struggle at Deepdale against lesser opposition, it sends a real message to the boardroom.

Angus Kinnear has been talking a lot without really delivering anything on the transfer front in weeks, so he needs to prove himself.
