Everton fans do not have much longer to wait for their side's return to action against Hull City next week.

More than two weeks on from the Toffees' most recent match, a 1-0 home win over Ipswich Town, there are just seven more days to go before the trip to Humberside.

Everton are unbeaten in five Premier League matches to begin the season, and seven in all competitions, in what has been a bright start from David Moyes' side.

Hull have themselves made a hugely positive start upon returning to the division, having collected eight points from five matches.

That is just one point less than Everton have to their name, so this is by no means an easy fixture.

And that is very much reflected in an early supercomputer prediction for the clash at MKM Stadium.

Everton fans may not be happy with Hull prediction

Everton have not slipped up in any fixtures they have been expected to win this season.

Sure, drawing with Manchester United at home and Tottenham Hotspur away could have been better, but a point from both fixtures is by no means a bad outcome.

This falls into the category of a game Everton are expected to win, even if Hull have been very good so far this season.

There has been little between the Tigers and the Toffees so far this season, and Opta Analyst's supercomputer expects this to finish in a draw.

Hull have been given a 36.4 per cent chance of winning, compared to 37.3 per cent for Everton.

However, when neither side is above the 40 per cent mark, the most likely outcome is a draw.

That would once again not be a dreadful result, although many Evertonians would also not be pleased to have not picked up a win at one of the recently promoted sides.

Where are Everton projected to finish in 2026-27?

Everton are currently in seventh place, meaning they will be in the mix for a European spot if they keep this up.

However, the bad news for the Toffees is that the same supercomputer expects Everton to drop down to 10th when a number of factors are taken into account.

Sunderland and Leeds United are expected to finish in the two spots above Everton, with Brighton, Liverpool and - surprisingly - Nottingham Forest in seventh to fifth respectively.

Finishing in 10th would by no means be a dreadful season all things considered, but it is not exactly something Everton fans would sign up for right now.
