Thierno Barry has a massive amount of pressure on his shoulders.

Everton are heavily relying on the young striker after their catastrophic end to the summer transfer window.

Beto was allowed to leave for Fiorentina before AS Monaco's Folarin Balogun walked away from Finch Farm at the last minute.

It left David Moyes with Barry as his only senior striker.

After struggling in his first year of Premier League football, the Frenchman has improved this time around, but big questions still remain around his finishing.

But, could Everton actually have the answer right under their noses?

Who is next in line at Everton?

Kai Hutchison is a name that not many will know at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Signed from Dundee United this summer, the young striker had initially linked up with the under-18s.

At only 16-years-old, he is making waves in the academy already.

The latest example of that came in the under-17s Premier League Cup against Derby County on Tuesday evening.

Everton smashed the young Rams 5-0, with Hutchison actually grabbing himself a hat-trick of goals.

Footage shared on Instagram shows all three.

All three were very different but highlight different areas of his game that Moyes will love to see.

The first was a towering header, via a deflection, the second saw the striker sprint across his marker to tap home.

His third saw Hutchison pick the ball up from distance, cut inside his man and rifle home from the edge of the box.

Everton fans will love online footage of Thierno Barry as long as he can avoid injuries

Could Kai Hutchison get Everton chance?

It remains somewhat unlikely, but given Barry is the only senior option, there is a chance.

Hutchison must continue what he's doing in the academy, and take chances when called up to senior training at Finch Farm.

Barry could get injured given the over-reliance on his fitness, and then that opens Everton up to a world of trouble.

Tyrique George has been named as another option who can play as a striker, with Brennan Johnson another possibility.

But, with players like Hutchison proving themselves at youth levels, it may be time to back them should the time come.

Let's see if he can continue this hotstreak.
