Everton new manager: Friedkins already fall out with possible candidate

Everton will not hire one particular manager to replace Sean Dyche after a previous falling out with The Friedkin Group (TFG).

TFG has decided to sack the English manager after a poor first half of the season [Sky Sports, 9 January], and it remains to be seen who will succeed him.

As things stand, the Merseyside outfit are in a tough spot, sitting just one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

The Toffees find themselves fighting for survival in the English top flight yet again after some poor results and zero progress this season.

Dyche had the experience of surviving the drop to the Championship and looked like the right manager for the Toffees in the current scenario.

While the former Burnley head coach has a reputation for helping his teams survive, the Friedkins have decided to part ways with him.

The Friedkin Group will not hire Jose Mourinho at Everton

Jose Mourinho has been ruled out by The Friedkin Group (TFG) as an option, according to talkSPORT.

The news outlet reports (9 January) that the former Real Madrid boss will not be appointed at Everton after an "unsavoury end" with the Freidkins at Roma.

After his stint in Italy, the 61-year-old said Dan Friedkin had "little knowledge" of football, categorically excluding him from the list of potential new head coaches at the Toffees.

The Portuguese head coach is considered the greatest ever after his work at clubs such as Porto, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea.

With the 61-year-old managing in Fenerbahce right now, his stock has dramatically dropped over the last few years.

TFG can't expect someone like Mourinho to help the Blues avoid relegation if push comes to shove over the following months.
