Alan Myers issues three-word update on Jack Grealish's potential return to Everton
Alan Myers has provided a three-word response about Jack Grealish to Everton.
The Englishman quickly became a fan favourite at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and while Everton had an option to keep him, they decided against activating it.
A £50million purchase option was deemed too excessive for the Toffees and they plan to try to talk that price down.
Grealish has since returned to the Etihad, sharing a video on Instagram alongside Kalvin Phillips as he still rehabs his foot injury.
But, the prospect of Grealish returning to Everton is still very much a topic discussed among fans.
And Myers has directly responded to a question about the latest on the situation.
What is the latest Alan Myers has heard about Jack Grealish to Everton?
Grealish coming back to Everton is perhaps the biggest transfer that supporters are waiting to hear about.
The England international excelled during his time in L3 and it looked like his career was being put back on track.
Grealish has struggled to provide a similar level of impact as he once did in City's 2022-2023 treble-winning season.
Now, Myers, who is a well-connected journalist when it comes to Everton, has issued an update.
One Everton fan on X asked the journalist if there was any news surrounding the 30-year-old's potential return.
However, Myers stated that it has "all gone quiet" on that front.
But, according to the journalist, that it is "not necessarily" a bad sign for Everton's chances.
However, as of now, it seems that any agreement is still quite a ways away, if there is one to be found.
Why has Jack Grealish to Everton gone quiet?
Man City have just got a new manager in the door, and had Pep Guardiola remained in charge, it may have been a smoother return for Grealish
But, with Enzo Maresca now in the dugout, he will likely want to get a better look of his whole squad heading into the season.
Additionally, due to the quality that Man City have in their squad, they have countless players that will be unavailable due to being away with their country or still being on holiday.
Maresca will need as many numbers as possible as the tries to implement his ideas, and Grealish could end up remaining until at least the senior internationals return.
There is also always the case that Maresca looks to reintegrate Grealish back into City's fans, but due to him having one year left on his contract, that is unlikely.
However, while it may not be the update Everton fans want to hear, there is no reason to panic over Grealish's future as of now.
