Torino have slowed talks with Everton over a deal for Beto who remains in their priorities, according to Tuttosport.

The Italian outlet reported on 24 January that the Serie A side are facing a "terribly complicated" winter window but remain interested in the 26-year-old.

The Maroons are evaluating other solutions in the transfer market but the Guinea-Bissau international remains a priority before the 3 February deadline.

Torino still interested in Everton forward Beto

Things have just not quite worked out for the ex-Udinese man at Goodison but that hasn't stopped many links with a return to Italy.

The likes of Juventus, Roma and Como have shown an interest in bringing the forward back to the Serie A [Corriere dello Sport] before the end of the January window.

This leaves the Toffees with plenty of different avenues to try and recoup as much of the £30m that was spent on the striker in 2023 [BBC Sport].

With just eight goals in the two seasons that have followed just hasn't been enough for the transfer spend and it isn't a surprise that the L4 club want to cut him loose.

There was a chance of Beto getting fresh opportunities under David Moyes after his return but that doesn't appear to be the case.

With just seven minutes of Premier League action, since the new head coach came in on Merseyside, it looks to be time up for the striker as Torino maintains their interest.
