Beto looks on the cusp of having his move from Everton to Fiorentina announced.

The out-of-favour Toffees striker is on the cusp of returning to Serie A, three years after his arrival from Udinese.

Beto, 28, has found himself behind Thierno Barry in the pecking order for the sole striker role at Everton so far this season.

And with Folarin Balogun also being heavily linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, his chances of minutes look even slimmer.

Now, new footage has emerged that hints at Beto's move to Fiorentina now being a mere formality.

What does the footage of Everton striker Beto show?

No one could ever accuse Beto of not giving everything for the cause in an Everton short.

The Guinea-Bissau international always puts in a shift, but it is his failure to be a consistent goalscorer that has always counted against him.

He managed nine Premier League goals last season, which represented his best return in a single campaign.

But now, he is set for pastures new and a video posted on X by journalist Gianluca Viscogliosi shows Beto wearing Fiorentina training gear.

He can seen interacting with supporters, before getting into a blacked-out minivan.

Are Everton making the right decision with Beto?

Beto has been undergoing his medical checks ahead of the move to Florence.

He previously played for Udinese in Italy, and has consistently been linked with moves back to Serie A.

It is a move that makes sense for Beto, who is returning to a league he knows well and where he is appreciated.

For Everton too it makes sense, given they need more firepower and a better goals return from their strikers.

With Barry starting the season well, and Balogun and Richarlison both expected to arrive before Tuesday's transfer deadline, Everton - who are said to be receiving around £15.4million from Fiorentina - are doing the right thing.
