David Moyes has 'high priority' Everton signing in mind, it'd be 'extraordinary' if not done
David Moyes knows exactly what he wants at Everton moving into the summer transfer window.
There has been no shortage of player links to Hill Dickinson Stadium already as changes seem to be in the pipeline.
It had once looked as if pulling power would be on the up in L3 with European qualification on the cards.
Europa or Conference League football would have improved the standards of potential signings, but it wasn't to be.
Missing out on that has ironically opened the door to more potential signings as the Toffees look to add strength in depth to their squad.
Moyes appears to have a priority in mind as the Merseyside outfit look to address a long standing issue.
David Moyes fully aware what position could do with strengthening
There are a number of different positions that need improving ready for the new campaign.
That has already seen someone like Hayden Hackney be linked to add to the midfield, while Jack Grealish's future remains up in the air.
They will certainly help the Blues in attacking areas, but the back line appears to be at the front of the queue this summer.
Liverpool Echo journalist Joe Thomas reported on Sunday that recruiting in the right-back position is a "high priority".
Moyes and those around him want a new option in that role, with Thomas suggesting "it would be extraordinary if the club went through another transfer window without addressing that issue".
That could see a full-back be one of the first through the door at Finch Farm as many options are assessed.
Which right-backs are Everton interested in signing?
There have been a number of right-sided defenders already linked with the L3 outfit.
Strasbourg man Guela Doue has emerged as a target as he jets off to the World Cup with the Ivory Coast.
He could prove to be an excellent option, while Atalanta's Raoul Bellanova has also been linked.
Sporting CP ace Georgios Vagiannidis is yet another player of interest after a positive season in Portugal last time around.
Any of these would prove to be top signings, but there is still plenty of time for Moyes and Co. to find their favourite option.
