Everton have several big names on their summer shopping list as they move to their new home, the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Jack Grealish has been linked with a move to Everton, but they will face competition for his services.

However, their hopes of signing the Manchester City man have been given a fresh boost after a new update that has emerged.

Man City give Everton Grealish boost

Grealish's stint with the former Premier League champions has been fading for some time, with this season encapsulating his struggles.

The winger was once a prominent figure in Pep Guardiola's efficient team, but was limited to seven league starts this season.

His exile has put Premier League clubs on high alert, with Everton one of the clubs interested in the 29-year-old.

The Athletic's David Ornstein previously stated that Everton would be an interesting possibility as the Toffees head to their new home.

However, the Merseyside club will face competition for his signature, with Manchester United and Tottenham keen.

Interesting news has surfaced that would make Everton a more likely though, which will prick the ears of Toffees supporters.

At this stage, a loan deal is looking more likely for Grealish, according to Matt Law of The Telegraph (25 May).

Everton must sign Grealish on loan

Given that Grealish will be available on loan, this can pave the way for him to move to the Goodison club this summer.

A permanent switch would have been near impossible to pull off, given that he will be on substantial wages at City.

While the midfielder has endured a forgettable campaign, the multi-time Premier League title winner still has something to offer in the Premier League.

A shift back to the number 10 position is one that could reignite his career, as his intricate passing can be deadly at times.

At Villa, Grealish relished as the main man, and if he were to move to Everton, then he would be the star once more.

What would there be to lose for either party in this situation? Grealish to Everton is certainly worth a punt.
