Everton: Iliman Ndiaye puts himself in shop window after France vs Senegal scenes
Iliman Ndiaye may have enhanced his chances of an Everton exit in Senegal's 3-1 loss to France on Tuesday.
The Blues star was a second-half substitute as Kylian Mbappe and Michael Olise ran rampant in New York.
He still managed to bag an assist, despite the class of Didier Deschamps' side shining through.
Ndiaye has rejected multiple contract offers from the Toffees, and speculation around an exit continues to circulate.
The player poured fuel on the fire with comments about wanting to play in the Champions League that came out before the game.
He firmly put himself in the shop window, despite only coming on in the 83rd minute.
How did Iliman Ndiaye put himself in shop window in France vs Senegal?
Ndiaye may have only played seven minutes and the additional time, but that was still enough to show his impact.
He was the provider for Ibrahim Mbaye's late goal, and completed nine of his 10 pass attempts, for a success rate of 90 per cent, per Fotmob.
He tried to help his side back into the game, with 15 touches, two of which came inside Les Blues' box.
He also contributed defensively, with one interception and one recovery in his short time in the contest.
While the Toffees man could not provide a goal to get the Lions of Teranga back into proceedings, it was a solid cameo, that will only help his chances of securing a move.
Why it is complicated for Everton
Everton have a decision to make this summer, they hold all the cards due to his contract running until 2029.
However, they could decide to cash in, as the player does not seem to happy at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Ndiaye managed just two goals and one assist in the 15 matches after he returned from the Africa Cup of Nations, so David Moyes' side could be tempted if a big offer comes in after the tournament.
Alternatively, they could choose to keep hold of him, despite his desire to play at a higher level, and try to convince him that they can reach it, with him as a key figure in the project.
We will likely have to wait until he is back on Merseyside for a resolution on the matter.
