Everton make Beto exit decision amid £21m transfer development
Everton striker Beto is reportedly a transfer target for Leeds United after their promotion to the Premier League.
The Guinea-Bissau international became a first-team regular for the Toffees last season after Dominic Calvert-Lewin's injury.
With Calvert-Lewin set to leave Everton, the Blues could now lose another striker this summer.
Beto exit on the cards this summer for £21m
According to Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri (9 June), the Toffees are not ruling out selling Beto this summer.
Amid interest from Leeds, Everton will be open to selling him for a £21million fee.
The Blues signed the striker for £25.75million back in the summer of 2023 from Udinese, so they will be making a small loss if they sell him for that amount.
Since his move, Beto has played 71 games for the Toffees in all competitions, scoring on 15 occasions and providing two assists.
Everton cannot sell Beto without the assurance of two new strikers
With Calvert-Lewin set to leave, Everton face losing their primary striker, who, despite injury concerns, has been integral.
Armando Broja, who was on loan from Chelsea, has returned to his parent club after an injury-plagued stint, leaving no permanent replacement.
Youssef Chermiti, a promising 21-year-old, offers technical ability but remains raw, with only 24 senior appearances and significant injury setbacks, including a foot surgery and a thigh issue, limiting his reliability.

Beto, despite inconsistent form, is currently Everton’s main senior striker, and his recent improvement under David Moyes makes him vital.
Selling him without two new strikers would leave the club critically short in attack, risking their Premier League survival, especially with PSR constraints limiting lavish spending.
Securing replacements ensures depth and competitiveness and The Friedkin Group have to strategise well and not make the same mistakes as past regimes.
It remains to be seen if Leeds end up making a bid for Beto, as they have other targets too and could prioritise them.
Moyes needs to demand quality signings, otherwise, the entire point of having new owners and a new manager will be defeated if the team does not move forward.
