Everton table bid for Fenerbahce defender Kim Min-Jae
Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly submitted a bid for Fenerbahce defender Kim Min-Jae.
According to Turkish media outlet Sabah, the 25-year-old appears likely to leave the club and is already on his way to England.
President Ali Koc admitted that despite the South Korean having a year left on his deal, he may not be there next season.
The South Korea international has a release clause of £17million at the Turkish club.
Everton bound?
The club have suffered major issues at the heart of their defence this past season and desperately need reinforcements there.
The South Korea international will come to the club highly recommended but the only question is whether or not the Toffees will manage to beat Spurs to his signature.
The North London club appear to be backing new manager Antonio Conte to no extent and they could offer the 25-year-old higher wages.
After finishing fourth, they will even have Champions League football as another lure for the player and it remains to be seen what his decision eventually is.
We're hoping that he prioritises first-team football over being a bit-part player in a top-four team.
Everton are also historically a big club and with the right kinds of signings, they can take leaps towards becoming a top-half side every season starting from 2022/23.
