Everton's financial concerns vanish as new avenue opens for Folarin Balogun deal
Everton may be able to get a deal done for Folarin Balogun after all.
The Toffees have been vying to sign a striker ahead of Tuesday's 11pm deadline, and are now edging closer to one.
But that man appears to be Richarlison, who is set to join the Blues from Tottenham Hotspur in a £35million package deal, with Iliman Ndiaye ready to go in the opposite direction.
Though Everton are also interested in Monaco's number nine, reports have suggested that finances would be a roadblock, given the money already needed to sign Richarlison.
However, the possibility of a loan move for Balogun could open the doors to an Everton transfer after all.

How Folarin Balogun loan route can give Everton hope
Everton would be able to sign both Richarlison and Balogun, but only if Beto or someone else was sold to raise funds.
However, an update from Foot Mercato's Santi Aouna via X on Sunday may give Everton hope, with Fiorentina now supposedly exploring a loan move for the USA international.
It's again reported that the Toffees remain interested, which has also been reported by local journalists.
Balogun scored 19 goals in all competitions for Monaco last season, but is yet to play for the French side this term, amid rumours of a potential exit.
If Everton were able to secure a loan move for the 25-year-old, they may also be able to bring Richarlison home with no real financial issues.
Everton fans teased with more after triple transfer news
Everton are closing in on the signings of Kenny Tete from Fulham, Richarlison and Jack Grealish, with the latter set to return to Hill Dickinson on loan.
However, in response to an Everton supporter claiming on X that the updates over the weekend have been hectic, Alan Myers responded by saying: "Wait till the next 48 [hours]."
This could suggest that Tete, Grealish and Richarlison are not the only incomings, considering the trio are all already expected to be unveiled as Everton players before the deadline.
Balogun could be next.
