Everton's Charly Alcaraz is reportedly on Fenerbahce's radar ahead of the January transfer window.

The Argentinian midfielder has struggled for game time this season, making four appearances for the Blues.

Reports in Turkiye had suggested that Alcaraz is on the Istanbul-based side's wishlist for the winter market.

They state that the Yellow Canaries will try to take advantage of the 23-year-old's situation, and secure his services for a minimal fee.

Whether David Moyes' side would be keen to sell was not covered, but given his limited games, it would not be a surprise.

However, Goodison News can reveal the Super League side's stance on a move for Alcaraz.

What is the latest on Fenerbahce's interest in Charly Alcaraz?

Alcaraz has been mentioned as a potential back-up for Thierno Barry with the Toffees, but ultimately he is a fringe option.

That means that it makes sense for his future to come under question, which it now has done.

Goodison News understands that it is just speculation for now, and no firm approach has been made.

A source exclusively revealed that the Turkish side will start firming up their transfer plans in December.

They stated that the 19-time champions are following many players in the Premier League closely and have a list.

Of course, they could be monitoring Alcaraz, and make their move when the market reopens, but right now, there is no sign of that.

Does it make sense for Everton to sell Alcaraz?

Alcaraz is under contract until the summer of 2027, as he signed a three-year deal when he arrived on Merseyside permanently in 2024.

That means that it would make sense for Moyes' side to cash in, if they can't hand him the opportunities to play.

With Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Harrison Armstrong and Brennan Johnson all capable of playing as a number 10, in Alcaraz's preferred position, he may struggle to find playing time.

He is valued at £12.8million by Transfermarkt, and if the L3 outfit could pick up that much, they would surely sell.

He has not hit the heights expected since joining the Blues again, and there are better options, so an exit is the likely outcome.

Whether it ends up being Fenerbahce, or someone else, remains to be seen.
