Beto could leave Everton for Fiorentina this transfer window.

The former Udinese striker has emerged as a target for the Serie A outfit in the final days of the window.

David Moyes heavily relied on the 28-year-old Guinea-Bissau forward in the second half of the previous campaign, but it remains to be seen what the future holds for him in L3.

Fiorentina are keeping tabs on Beto, who's one of only two natural number nine options at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The striker's departure would leave the Blues with a massive void to fill up top.

With the Merseyside outfit still arguably needing to add quality and depth to their squad before deadline day, the centre-forward's situation will be one to keep an eye on.

Why Fiorentina want Beto from Everton

Nottingham Forest are another team eyeing Beto and uncertainty remains around his future.

Fiorentina have now entered the race to sign the Guinea-Bissau international as they look to bolster their attack.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio on 22 August, Beto is seen as a potential replacement for Moise Kean at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Como are pushing to sign the former Toffees ace from two-time Serie A champions Fiorentina, which could potentially trigger a transfer merry-go-round.

Kean's departure could see Beto return to Italy and the Blues would then need a replacement for their centre-forward.

Why David Moyes would be willing to sanction Beto sale

Beto and Thierno Barry were Moyes' two strikers last season, but neither of them was able to cement their place in the starting lineup.

Inconsistency and a lack of reliable goalscoring pedigree let the Scottish manager down during the 2025-27 campaign.

Moyes seems to be a big fan of the ex-Udinese striker, and speaking to the media last September, he said, "Let me tell you, he's an unbelievable lad. In training, he is very humble, self-effacing, he's happy to laugh at himself, but to try and make himself better."

Many fans want to see the Toffees sign a new striker this transfer window and Beto's exit may force The Friedkin Group into action.

Moyes has long admired Liam Delap and the Chelsea attacker is available ahead of deadline day after underwhelming at Stamford Bridge.

The former Ipswich Town striker could potentially be a part of the Scottish manager's striker contingent for the 2026-27 campaign.

Crystal Palace travel to Hill Dickinson Stadium on 22 August and that will indicate where the Merseyside outfit stand right now.
