How Pavel Sulc transfer would help unlock new dimension to Dewsbury-Hall's Everton game

Pavel Sulc's name has been brought up as part of Everton's transfer plans.

The Lyon and Czechia star fits the bill, as he has shown his quality in front of goal and from a creative standpoint.

That may leave Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall worried about his place in David Moyes' side.

Sulc's numbers leave the Englishman trailing in the dust, and that would be a concern for the current Blues star.

The Toffees are looking at the 25-year-old, with interest from Leeds United and Aston Villa also hotting up, with the French club wanting £25million.

The Czech star notched 11 goals and bagged three assists in Ligue 1 last season, while Dewsbury-Hall could only manage eight strikes, but did beat his assist tally with four.

According to data from Fotmob, the potential addition recorded double the shots per 90, with 2.53 to the Blues' man's 1.33.

He also averaged more touches in the opposition box, with 5.20 per game compared to just 2.87 for the 27-year-old.

They share the exact same number for chances created per 90, with 1.26 for both players.

That suggests that Sulc is significantly more dangerous and offers the same creative threat - but any deal could also help Dewsbury-Hall.

Why Everton signing Sulc is not fatal for Dewsbury-Hall

It may not be bad news if Sulc is brought in, as it would allow Dewsbury-Hall to drop into a deeper role.

The former Leicester City man has played as an eight before, and would provide a solid partnership with James Garner.

With Idrissa Gueye's situation up in the air, and a new agreement not reached with the Senegal ace, moving the Englishman back may not be the worst solution.

It may well provide the L3 outfit with a much more potent attack, while also making them more solid when they do not have the ball.

Only time will tell, but it would be an exciting move, one that supporters would surely be on board with.
