Iliman Ndiaye sale possible amid Man United lure as big Everton profit on cards
Everton will not want to sell any of their top stars, but Iliman Ndiaye could be on his way out amid interest from Manchester United.
The Senegalese winger has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, in what would likely represent a hefty price.
In the world of football, every player has their price, and Everton appear to understand that.
While keeping Ndiaye is the priority for the L3 outfit, it is not the only outcome that could arise from this summer window.
The Blues are not staunchly in the camp of Ndiaye not being for sale, as new reports of Man United’s interest emerges.
What's the latest on Manchester United’s interest in Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye?
According to the Liverpool Echo, Ndiaye has been added to Manchester United’s shortlist as an alternative option to signing Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.
The Englishman is highly appreciated across the Premier League, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool also among the interested parties.
Rogers is set to be a tough transfer for any side, and United are not willing to take a risk on solely targeting him.
This has led them down the path of Ndiaye, who Moyes has previously wished not to sell.
However, the Toffees may have to reconsider their stance with the report from the Echo sharing that “a deal would take terms that would represent a major profit on the £15m Everton paid.”
In the end, the money involved may be too much for Everton to turn down, but it has been said that the Toffees are open to a sale if they can "dictate the terms".
Should Everton be relaxed over Ndiaye’s future?
There is every reason to believe that Everton will be calm over any transfer dealings involving Ndiaye.
The 26-year-old still has a valid contract for another three years, so they are in no position to worry about selling.
The finances involved could see them take a risk, though, as there is always a chance that Ndiaye’s stock now is the highest it would ever get.
If the transfer does ultimately become on their terms as stated, then the Blues will certainly be happy with whatever money comes through the Hill Dickinson doors.
That money, however, must be invested wisely back into the squad, or Everton leave themselves incredibly weak.
