Jack Grealish's Everton intentions couldn't be clearer amid latest whereabouts
Jack Grealish is clearly eager to push through a permanent move from Manchester City to Everton this summer.
The England international was a massive hit on loan at Hill Dickinson Stadium last season, even if his campaign was curtailed midway through.
Grealish managed just 20 Premier League appearances for Everton, but his six assists and two goals in that time showed exactly what he is capable of.
There have been conflicting reports over the attacker's future of late, not helped by Pep Guardiola's recent exit from Man City.
Enzo Maresca is now set to take over at the Etihad Stadium, but you get the impression Grealish would rather not join him there next season.
Jack Grealish takes advantage of Finch Farm facilities
Grealish did not play for Everton beyond January, but he appears to be almost over his injury issue.
Indeed, according to the Liverpool Echo, Grealish is currently training at Everton's Finch Farm training base.
At a time when pretty much every other Everton player is either on international duty or holiday, Grealish is working on his fitness.
The fact he is opting to use the Toffees' facilities, rather than Man City's, is pretty telling.
If ever fans needed an indication as to where Grealish's head is, this says it all.
What needs to happen next for Grealish to become an Everton player?
At risk of stating the obvious, it is now over to Everton and Man City to strike a deal.
There were reports last week that incoming City boss Maresca would like to run the rule over Grealish during pre-season, but that has since been shot down.
City would surely be willing to cash in on Grealish now before his valuation devalues too much, with the 30-year-old due to be out of contract next summer.
Exactly how much they would want, and how much Everton are willing to pay, are two different things.
But there is no reason why talks cannot begin now, even before the window has officially opened.
Grealish clearly enjoys life at Everton, and Everton fans clearly like Grealish. There is absolutely no reason why this one cannot get over the line soon.
