Jamie O'Hara makes personal Everton transfer plea to Tony Bellew
Jamie O'Hara would love to see Everton raid Tottenham Hotspur for one of their players before the transfer window shuts.
Everton are eager to strengthen in multiple positions before the close of play at 11pm on 1 September.
While a new right-back is a priority for David Moyes, another centre-forward is also expected to be targeted.
Thierno Barry was on the scoresheet in Saturday's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, but there are still question marks over the Toffees' striking department.
Plenty of names have been linked with a move to Hill Dickinson Stadium in the closing stages of the window.
And O'Hara, responding to a message from celebrity Everton fan Tony Bellew, has named one player he would like to see join.
Tony Bellew leaps to Richarlison's defence
Shortly after Everton beat Palace, Tottenham fell to a 3-0 defeat away at Brentford.
Richarlison came in for a lot of criticism due to his subdued performance up top.
The Brazil international struggled to hold up possession, though Roberto De Zerbi's tactics did not help get the most out of him.
Richarlison continues to be linked with an Everton return, with Spurs potentially open to a sale.
O'Hara let his frustration at Richarlison known on X on Saturday as he posted: "Shocking game. Didn’t even get started - miles off it.
"When will we learn that Richarlison ain’t good enough? Poor team selection from De Zerbi. Same old guff again. Need a striker asap."
Bellew replied to that message on Sunday as he posted: "It’s not Richie. It’s ya team, little legs! He’s a top player when utilised correctly!"
That prompted O'Hara to respond: "Please take him home then."
If the vast majority of Everton fans got their wish, the Toffees very much would be taking Richarlison off Tottenham's hands.
Would an Everton return for Richarlison be financially viable?
Everton fans, as mentioned, would love to see Richarlison back on Merseyside.
It has previously been reported that Tottenham will only allow Richarlison to leave for a "sizeable fee".
Exactly what that is is unknown, but the Brazilian only has two years left on his contract, assuming Spurs trigger their 12-month extension.
If a deal can be struck in the region of £20-25million, that may just make sense for everyone involved.
Ultimately, fans just want to see another attacker - and of course a right-back - brought in.
If it is a player who is already well accustomed to playing for Everton, even better.
