Everton have let Celtic know they're interested in right-back Alistair Johnston this transfer window.

Martin O'Neill has confirmed that David Moyes has made contact to talk about a potential move for the Canada international.

The Toffees are in search of a new right-back ahead of next season and seem to have identified the 27-year-old as one of their targets.

Johnston isn't the only player being considered at Hill Dickinson Stadium as Moyes tries to make inroads for a transfer.
