Richarlison is routinely linked with a move back to Everton from Tottenham.

The Tottenham striker has once more been said to be of interest to the Toffees this summer.

This time information circulating on social media has indicated that the Merseyside club have gone as far as bidding for their former striker.

An approach said to have been rejected for falling below Spurs' evaluation.

However, while these were just rumours, official media sources have now issued an update to speak to the truth of these claims.

And Everton fans eager to know the chances of a return for the Brazilian forward, who is well-revered by the Blues supporters.

Have Everton made a bid for Richarlison?

It will not be the news that Everton fans will want to hear as Richarlison is a fan favourite in L3.

However, no bid has been made for the Tottenham striker according to Tottenham journalist Alasdair Gold.

Gold, via football.london on Monday afternoon, has shared that he understands that no actual bid has been made for Richarlison this summer from Everton.

The Blues, though, have been interested in a reunion, with it said that they did enquire earlier in the summer about a move.

However, no contact has since been made for the former Toffees forward, shutting down the widespread rumours across social media.

So, that is that. It seems the reports of Richarlison back to Everton are currently nothing more than rumours.

Why Everton won't land Richarlison for cheap despite contract situation

There may be many out there feeling that with Richarlison's contract expiring at the end of the 2026-2027 season, it could open the door for a cheaper deal.

However, Tottenham do have a clause in Richarlison's contract that allows them to extend that deal by a year according to the same report.

So, the Lilywhites are not exactly desperate for a sale this summer although, his future is said to be "less certain" as Spurs eye more forward signings.

For Everton, though, a reunion does seem unlikely at this stage with the North London outfit likely unwilling to allow him to leave cheap.

As seen with Everton's interest in Liam Delap, a high price tag has proved to be an issue when it comes to a striker signing this summer.

And it remains to be seen if a new number nine does get over the line this window, too.
