What we know about Everton target Owen Emeka, the Granada winger with 'fantastic potential'
Everton's interest in Granada forward Owen Emeka has emerged over the last few days.
The Toffees were in the market this summer for wide attackers, with Brennan Johnson, Tyrique George, and Jack Grealish arriving.
David Moyes, though, was still left incredibly light in the forward department following the inability to replace Beto.
Nonetheless, the Blues have been performing well in the Premier League, but the manager will still not be pleased with his depth.
That makes the possibility of further additions in attack something worth keeping an eye on, particularly with the January window presenting an opportunity.
With details of Everton tracking Granada's Emeka coming out.
Why Owen Emeka is still one to watch for Everton
A move for Emeka in the summer was slim, mainly due to the fact he signed a five-year deal back in April 2026.
However, a transfer down the line for the winger could still be one to watch for Everton.
As relayed by Marca, journalist Matteo Moretto has shared details of the Toffees' interest in the Spaniard.
He stated: "There are clubs that are following him closely. Everton, Newcastle, and Arsenal inquired about him."
Emeka has been making his breakthrough at the second-division Spanish side recently.
The 17-year-old is undergoing his first season in the senior team, with six appearances and one goal already this campaign.
He was also heavily involved in Granada's pre-season preparation, with manager Jose Rojo Martin exclaiming in July, as per AS: "He's the youngest, but he has fantastic potential. We have to take it slowly, but I'm not going to hold him back."
So, he may very well be a player the Blues do not want to miss out on in the future.
How much is Emeka valued at?
As a second-tier player in Spain, Emeka is not valued at an extortionate price, and that is an appealing prospect.
According to CIES Observatory's fair market value tool, the youngster is worth between £3.8million and £4.4m.
Although right now, while the price may not be an obstacle, Emeka did take the decision to remain at the Southern-based Spanish side.
For now, it is one to just keep an eye on, but Everton will be pleased to see Granada looking unlikely to achieve promotion, as they sit 13th on eight points in seven games.
Failure to go up to La Liga will likely keep his value lower.
