More names on Everton's right-back shortlist are emerging with Amar Dedic the latest.
The search for a position that has long-been an issue continues to rumble on with less than two weeks to the Premier League season.
Everton's patience is certainly beginning to take it's toll on supporters, who are not having that same mindset.
A little of transfer fatigue may begin kicking in as more and more reports of differing names pop up.
That will only continue to happen the longer the saga rumbles on.
And now Dedic is another name for fans to keep an eye on this summer window.
What has been said about Everton's interest in Amar Dedic?
Dedic is a bonified Bosnia and Herzegovina international. He has made 31 appearances for his national side.
Most recently, he featured at the 2026 World Cup, where started three of Bosnia's four games.
He is known for both his speed and strenght with his position at fullback one of his greatest qualities.
The Benfica man has now started to emerge on many clubs' radar and that now includes Everton.
According to the Daily Mail, Everton hold an interest in the 23-year-old, with it said that he is valued at £25million.
A pursuit for the right-back may not be easy though, with Newcastle seemingly ahead in the race.
The Premier League side are currently exploring a move for Dedic as Matthias Jaissle looks to begin his era.
Jaissle may also have the advantage as he previously managed Dedic while both were at FC Liefering back in 2021.
Why Everton's right-back search is reaching new levels of comical
With three weeks until the transfer deadline closes, Everton have plenty of work to do and right-back is the main priority.
As things stand, it feels like the Toffees have simply sounded out every option on the market with no clear direction on where they take the club.
Of course, that may not be the actual case, and it may just be due to the public perception formed from media reports.
But nonetheless, there is a general angst that Everton have come into this window unprepared to strengthen in a department that has known to need additions for well over a season.
The Merseyside club need to show they are serious and start working to finally sort out this long-term problem.
Or else there will be an audible groan in the Blues' opening home game of the season when Jake O'Brien rocks out at right-back.
