Speaking on Toffees Unwrapped on 28 September, BBC Radio Merseyside journalist Mike Hughes said, "I think Moyes has been badly let down.

"I think Kinnear has probably been let down even more than Moyes because he has been left to carry the can and try to make this all look palatable when it clearly isn't.

"There were some almighty mistakes made in terms of the transfer window. Why it was left to the final few days is an unbelievable case of maladministration almost."

What The Friedkin Group can't afford at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Everton fans are in good spirits at the moment due to the team's performances on the pitch.

Had Moyes not been able to bring out the best in his squad at the start of the season, all hell might have broken loose at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

TFG can't mistake this relative calm for a sign that supporters are satisfied.

In January, all eyes will once again be on Dan Friedkin and Co. to see whether they will make funds available for reinforcements.

Moyes currently has 18 outfield players at his disposal, but Christian Norgaard has been unavailable since signing and Merlin Rohl has already picked up fitness issues.
