Why Everton could be primed for Myles Lewis-Skelly deal as Arsenal send transfer exit offers

Everton-linked Myles Lewis-Skelly is now up for sale from Arsenal.

There were some suggestions that the Gunners could look to offload the versatile full-back heading into the summer window, and that now looks to be the case.

David Moyes is keen for more defensive additions, and the England international would offer cover at left-back and defensive midfield.

Arsenal are well-stocked with full-backs and midfielders, and the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United looks to be key in their willingness to part ways with Lewis-Skelly.

He is naturally a left-back, and while the Toffees already have Vitalii Mykolenko in the position, many would like to see the club upgrade on the Ukrainian.

Everton have been backed to sign Lewis-Skelly, with there said to be some legs to whispers linking the 19-year-old to Hill Dickinson.

Toffees fans have been told to keep a "close eye" on a potential deal for the teenager, who has burst through at Arsenal in the last two years.

The left-back has racked up 75 appearances for the Gunners already, impressing Mikel Arteta and others, and has now made six appearances for England since making his professional debut in December of 2022.

According to an update on X this Tuesday from talkSPORT transfer correspondent Alex Crook, Lewis-Skelly has been offered to several Premier League clubs by Arsenal, who could be open to a permanent exit after Guimaraes' arrival.

The player has been offered to Chelsea and Manchester United, while it sounds like other unnamed Premier League clubs have also received contact.

There's every chance that Everton could be one of them, given previous links to the defender.

But Lewis-Skelly isn't the only Arsenal youngster they admire.

Perhaps Everton would benefit the most with a loan move for Lewis-Skelly if Arsenal are open to those conditions.

That's because the Toffees still need money for a right-back, among other positions.

Moyes is keen to add further reinforcements in attack, with Everton said to also be interested in Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri.

The Gunners are also open to selling the 18-year-old, but it's hard to see how the Blues could afford permanent moves for both young sensations.

However, a loan move for one could open the doors to sign the other on a permanent basis, with Everton far from done this window.
