Is Richarlison to Everton transfer still on?

While Everton have lined up a deal for Richarlison, it looks like he won't be moving back to Merseyside.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that there had been an agreement between Tottenham and the Toffees for the 29-year-old striker.

The Blues have been waiting for the centre-forward's green light to proceed with the deal.

Richarlison's unwillingness to rejoin the Merseyside outfit was tipped to affect Spurs' deal for Ndiaye, and that's what happened.

The Brazilian attacker doesn't seem to have any plans of continuing in the Premier League, which certainly means the Merseyside outfit may not be getting him.

Speaking on his YouTube channel on 31 August, Romano said, “My information is that Richarlison is not rejecting Everton because he doesn't like Everton.

“He's just planning for something different in his career rather than continuing probably in the Premier League."

Now, according to reliable journalist Alan Myers on 1 September, Richarlison definitely won't be joining Everton.

What could be next for transfers at Hill Dickinson Stadium

David Moyes has arguably needed a new right-back since last summer, but Everton are yet to get a deal over the line for one.

With Adam Aznou joining Malaga on loan from the Toffees, they now also could do with cover for Vitalii Mykolenko in the squad.

Beto looks set to join Fiorentina and he could be replaced by AS Monaco's Folarin Balogun at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

There's still clearly plenty of work to do at the Merseyside outfit and it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold in the coming hours.
