Everton are understood to be on the verge of signing Southampton winger Tyler Dibling.

Southampton have struck an agreement with Everton to sign the 19-year-old for £42million.

Dibling has been linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for a number of weeks and he now appears on the cusp of joining them.

The Englishman was on the bench for the Saints' recent Championship game against Ipswich and came on in the second half.

Tyler Dibling unlikely to be unveiled ahead of Brighton clash

Everton take on Brighton on Sunday in what will be the first-ever Premier League game to be played at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

At £42million, Dibling will become their most expensive acquisition of the summer and one of the biggest transfers from a financial standpoint in Toffees' history.

While it would have been a good moment to introduce him to the fans, Alan Myers does not think it's possible.

The former Sky Sports news editor believes that the game will come too soon for him, as things have gathered steam on Friday evening, with a lot left to do before the deal is finalised.

He wrote on X: "Would love to see Dibling presented Sunday, possibly too soon but would give a feel good for the fans."

Everton set for dynamic front three this season

Dibling’s arrival at Everton could elevate Jack Grealish and Thierno Barry, creating a dynamic front three for the 2025/26 season.

The versatile right-winger with Grealish-esque ball-carrying ability complements the Manchester City loanee's creative flair on the left.

His pace and dribbling stretch defences, creating space for Grealish to exploit with his vision and passing.

This synergy allows Barry to thrive centrally, capitalising on the duo’s playmaking to convert chances.

With Dibling’s youth and Grealish’s experience, their interplay could overwhelm defences, while Barry’s aerial presence and finishing complete a balanced, high-octane attacking unit under David Moyes.

It might take a few weeks for the fans to actually see this front three clicking and hopefully, all of them can remain fit in the coming months.
