Everton are set to play their first competitive match at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday as they take on Brighton. 

David Moyes will be hoping to quickly bounce back after Everton’s 1-0 defeat to Leeds on Monday.

This result exposed plenty of issues at the Toffees, and has no doubt heightened fears that they could be in a relegation battle once again.

Therefore, a victory is no doubt needed on Sunday as Moyes looks to get back to winning ways.

Brighton favourites for Everton clash

It is already apparent that Brighton are a bogey side for Everton. 

The Seagulls have consistently got the better of the Toffees in recent years and are unbeaten in their last four away matches against the Merseyside team.

Brighton have also had a solid start to their campaign, and were only denied a victory in their first match thanks to a stoppage-time Rodrigo Muniz goal.

As a result, according to Opta on 22 August, Brighton are the favourites to come away with a victory at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. 

The supercomputer has given the Seagulls a 37.9 per cent chance of coming away with three points, whereas Everton only have a 35.4 per cent chance.

The odds of a draw sit at 26.7 per cent.

David Moyes may look to Jack Grealish for Brighton clash

Jack Grealish came on as a Everton substitute just after 70 minutes on Monday, but did not have enough time to change the game.

Now, Moyes may considering starting the England international to help the Toffees pick up three points. 

Grealish has an excellent record against the Seagulls and commonly picks up a goal or an assist.
