Everton transfer news as Evan Ferguson medical booked – David Ornstein
Everton target Evan Ferguson is set to have a medical at West Ham, according to David Ornstein.
The Athletic reporter (2 February) claimed that the Hammers have agreed terms on a loan deal for the Irish international with a medical booked for later today.
The report names the Blues as one of the multiple clubs that were interested in the 20-year-old but the Irons have stolen a march on their rivals.
Ferguson has started just two matches in the Premier League this season, scoring one goal in a disappointing campaign.
Everton need attacking reinforcements despite Leicester win
The hammering of Leicester on Saturday (1 February) when Beto scored two goals may leave some officials at Goodison Park more relaxed about their striker situation.
However, it shouldn’t, as the Blues are still the third-lowest scorers in the Premier League behind only relegation strugglers Ipswich and Southampton.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto’s recent goals should not deter from the fact that they have notched just six league strikes between them this season.

Although relegation fears have been reduced following three successive wins in the league, the Blues could still be dragged into the survival battle if results go against them.
They currently have a nine-point buffer on the drop zone but more firepower would make their situation a lot more comfortable.
A striker named Ferguson and Moyes as the manager at Goodison Park would have had supporters thinking they had been blasted back to the past, but now it looks unlikely to happen.
In other Everton news, Moyes wants to bring a £20m Ligue 1 defender to the Blues before the transfer deadline.
