Forest duo Gibbs-White and Elanga wowed by what Everton player did v Leicester
Nottingham Forest duo Morgan Gibbs-White and Anthony Elanga were wowed by a pass James Garner made for Everton in their 4-0 rout of Leicester City.
The Toffees got another win under David Moyes on Saturday (1 February) as the Foxes were impressively brushed aside at Goodison Park.
After recently coming back into the squad after a period out through injury, Garner showed his quality on Saturday when he contributed the assist for his side’s third goal with a brilliant pass for Beto to pick up and score from.
After posting to celebrate the victory on Instagram, Gibbs-White and Elanga – the former of whom played with Garner during his loan spell at the City Ground – replied in the comments.
Gibbs-White wrong: “That pass” with love heart eyes and a handshake emoji, before Elanga followed up with a comment of: “What a sight” also accompanied with love heart eyes.
James Garner put in an impressive display for Everton
The form of Everton has certainly improved since the return of David Moyes as manager at Goodison Park and a 4-0 win against Leicester only proved that further.
Although the Foxes are a struggling side this term, there have been plenty of concerns in Merseyside over the lack of attacking threat in the Blues team, a worry that has only been heightened following an injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Garner has had a tough season so far and had only made four appearances before having to face a lengthy period on the sidelines through injury.

However, he is fit again and Moyes was happy to bring him into the side after an injury to fellow central midfielder Orel Mangala keeping him out for the remainder of the campaign.
After an impressive all-round display and a great assist yesterday, it’s no wonder Garnet was receiving praise from fellow Premier League players and his boss will surely feel he could echo the sentiments.
As the Toffees look to save their season, it is players like this who will be the difference if they continue to deliver high-quality performances.
