Iliman Ndiaye: Chelsea to ‘test the waters’ for Everton winger as Liam Delap swap mooted
Iliman Ndiaye is one of the most exciting talents currently at Everton, and Chelsea are beginning to take notice.
Ndiaye has been essential for the Toffees this campaign as they chase a first season in European competition since 2016-2017.
The Blues have been excellent at batting away interest for their top stars after blocking Jarrad Branthwaite from making a switch to Manchester United for a considerable fee in the summer of 2024.
Now, the Friedkin Group’s resolve will be tested once more as Ndiaye pops up on the radar of yet another Premier League side.
Ahead of Everton’s summer window, Chelsea believe the Toffees’ interest in Liam Delap could help sweeten their chances of luring Ndiaye to London.

What has been said about Chelsea’s interest in Iliman Ndiaye?
Ndiaye has long been linked with a move away from Everton, with Manchester United emerging as candidates over recent months.
However, now, Chelsea appear to be in the conversation as speculation remains rife over the winger.

According to Chelsea journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea are now “seriously tracking” the Everton star as they weigh up a summer move.
Ndiaye has recently been usurped as Everton’s most-valuable player, but that is not to say that the Toffees would not request a considerable sum for the Senegalese winger.
However, according to the report, in order to get around a sizeable fee, Chelsea are prepared to include players in any deal for Ndiaye, as they are “testing the waters”.
One name touted is Delap, whom Everton have previously held interest in from the last summer window. The Englishman has failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, with Joao Pedro emerging as Chelsea’s first-choice striker.

Everton fans may have nothing to fear after what David Moyes recently said
There will be hope for Everton fans that the Toffees simply reject any move for Ndiaye from outside clubs.
The Blues’ manager David Moyes has previously batted away any suggestions over an exit, even exclaiming he would be the last player he would allow to leave.
Moyes stated: “He is the last person I would consider selling. There are others as well [that I wouldn’t want to sell], but my point is I have no interest in hearing the talk if there is talk out there.”
Everton’s manager did go on to admit that every player has their price, but his reaction to speculation would make you believe Ndiaye’s evaluation at Hill Dickinson is quite high.
