Crystal Palace haven’t learned from Everton as Sean Dyche somehow in frame for job
Crystal Palace could make an error by appointing former Everton boss Sean Dyche.
The Englishman is currently out of work after being sacked by Nottingham Forest after just five months in charge at the City Ground.
Results weren’t good enough for the East Midlands side, and Vitor Pereira ultimately came in and reached a Europa League semi-final.
The 54-year-old is now on the lookout for his next job, and it could be on the horizon at Selhurst Park ahead of the new campaign.
Everton will have bad memories of Dyche, but it doesn’t appear that Palace have kept tabs on what went down at Goodison Park.

Crystal Palace have Sean Dyche on managerial shortlist
The Eagles are in need of a new head coach as the end of the campaign brought Oliver Glasner’s chapter to an end with a bang.
After winning the FA Cup last year, the Austrian ended his spell in Croydon by winning the Conference League against Rayo Vallecano.
| Stat | Oliver Glasner |
| Matches | 122 |
| Wins | 53 |
| Draws | 34 |
| Losses | 35 |
| Trophies | 3 |
That will leave a massive hole at Selhurst Park that certainly won’t be easy for Steve Parish and Co. to fill.
There are many options being assessed, with Alan Nixon reporting via Patreon on Sunday that Dyche is in the frame to take over due to his Premier League experience.
He is viewed as the “standby” option in SE25, with Frank Lampard emerging as a leading candidate, although his £5million buyout clause at Coventry City is likely to scare off the Eagles.

Kieran McKenna is also a target, while Lens boss Pierre Sage has been suggested, but the former Toffees boss could eventually find himself in the job.
Dyche isn’t exactly remembered favourably at Everton, and it will come as a surprise should he land another job in the English top flight.
Everton will land boost if Dyche goes to Crystal Palace
Palace may have finished 15th last season, but qualified for the Europa League thanks to their Conference League win.
That will certainly make them an attractive prospect for potential transfer targets, and it could raise expectations for a better Premier League finish.
They will once again be pretty direct rivals to Everton next season, but with Dyche in charge, it could give the Merseyside outfit a leg up.

The Englishman has managed a 1.2 and 1.4 point average in his last two jobs with the Blues and Nottingham Forest, which isn’t anything to write home about.
Glasner has a better PPA and also boasts a 43 per cent win rate for his spell at Palace, so things could take a drop off should Dyche come in.
Everton will be watching that situation and may have a chuckle to themselves should their old head coach land yet another role within the Premier League.
