'Alisher Usmanov wants to seal Everton return' as EU sanctions lifted
Alan Brazil has hinted that Alisher Usmanov could look to get involved at Everton again.
The 73-year-old is now four years on from the end of his relationship with the Goodison club.
He had previously pumped funds into the club as a friend and close associate of Farhad Moshiri.
That included his company, USM Holdings, becoming the sponsor of Finch Farm.
It is estimated that the Russian-Uzbek businessman injected over £110million into the Toffees across a five-year period.
Usmanov's investment stopped due to the invasion in Ukraine, but could he soon make an Everton return?

It didn't take long after the invasion before the Blues pulled any existing deals with the billionaire and his companies.
That saw their finances take a hit, and the impact was felt, two years before the Friedkins came in.
Things are certainly a lot more stable now, but a cat could be thrown amongst the pigeons as the US consortium are now keen to sell.
There hasn't been any concrete links to fresh investment as the Toffees faithful await further news.
Brazil has now revealed to talkSPORT, on Friday, his belief that Usmanov is looking to make a return to Merseyside.
He said: "I can't confirm it, but I hear that Usmanov is trying to get back in at Everton. He has got some serious, serious money.
"He was behind Moshiri, it appears that he's trying to get back in, if he can, to plough a load of dough into Everton."
The host may have heard about this on the grapevine, but as it stands, is it even possible?
Could Usmanov return to Everton?
There are clear reasons why the businessman was forced out of Goodison.
They were given little choice when Usmanov was sanctioned by the European Union, meaning his assets were frozen and his financial dealings were restricted.
The United Kingdom added to that further including a restriction on business relationships and a travel ban within the UK.
That would mean Usmanov couldn't have anything to do with Everton, regardless of what Brazil has "heard".
That could change in the near future as sanctions within the EU were lifted in late September.
The UK are yet to follow suit, but they could soon follow suit and open the door for the billionaire's return to these shores.
Things could change for Everton from there, but for now, Usmanov won't be on his way back.
