Early Everton team news vs Hull as David Moyes has question marks over duo
Everton are still two weeks away from their return to Premier League action.
After a positive start to the 2026-27 campaign, the last thing David Moyes would have wanted was an extended three-week hiatus.
But the one positive is that players previously nursing injuries have plenty of time to rest up.
Moyes will also have his fingers crossed for no further setbacks in terms of those away with their countries.
Given the nature of Everton's incredibly small squad, any injury issues now - especially to Thierno Barry up top - will leave the Toffees in a very difficult position.

Merlin Rohl shares update on injury return
Merlin Rohl missed Everton's last three matches prior to the international break with an undisclosed issue.
After being used at right-back by Moyes early on in the campaign, his layoff came as a blow but Ainsley Maitland-Niles has managed to slot in nicely.
Still, Moyes will be eager to get the 24-year-old back in the squad due to his versatile nature.
Speaking this week, Rohl said he expects to be back in around "one-and-a-half weeks".
Taking that at face value, he will almost certainly be available for selection away at Hull.
Christian Norgaard finally in line for Everton debut
The Dane arrived from Arsenal in the summer, but he has yet to feature for his new club due to injury.
Speaking two weeks ago, Moyes said he expects to have Norgaard back sometime after the international break.
The Everton boss was not more specific than that, so it will be a case of waiting for a further update at Moyes' next presser ahead of the Hull game.
But given the time he has spent out, it seems unlikely Norgaard will be risked against Hull even if he does return to full training before then.
Beyond those two, the good news for Moyes and Everton is there there are no other absentees or fitness doubts that are known of.
