What David Moyes has said on Harrison Armstrong injury as two definitely out for Everton

David Moyes will have to make do without a couple of players when Everton face Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The Toffees will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League season when welcoming Town to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton have drawn three and won one of their first four top-flight outings, while also advancing into the last 16 of the Carabao Cup.

Charly Alcaraz's strike saw Everton overcome Wolves in midweek to advance in that competition.

The Toffees were without injured midfielder Harrison Armstrong for that match, having started all five games prior to that.

Moyes has now shared an update on Armstrong, plus the other injury concerns in the Everton camp.

Everton have a three-week international break to come after this weekend's clash with Ipswich.

The Merseyside outfit have been pretty fortunate so far in terms of injury layoffs.

And that looks set to continue against the Tractor Boys, as Armstrong seems as though he will win his fitness battle.

"We're still waiting on Harrison a little bit to see how he is," Moyes said at Friday's press conference. "But we're expecting him to be okay."

That was a positive update from Finch Farm, but less good was confirmation that Merlin Rohl and Christian Norgaard are both out.

Norgaard has yet to feature competitively since joining from Arsenal in the summer.

Rohl has started three games in all competitions, meanwhile, but is out until after the international break.

Armstrong being fit may change that XI, but Moyes may also not want to take any risks.

It may well be that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall starts off lone striker Thierno Barry, with Tyrique George and Jack Grealish on the flanks.

James Garner and Hayden Hackney would then sit in front of the back four and Jordan Pickford.

That is a side more than capable of seeing off recently promoted Ipswich to keep the momentum going into the international break.
