Dundee are the opposition as Everton start their pre-season campaign on Saturday.

The Blues begin their preparations for the 2026-27 season at Dens Park on 18 July.

Jordan Pickford will miss out, due to his involvement at the World Cup, which will end on Saturday against France.

Iliman Ndiaye and Nathan Patterson will also be absent, as their breaks are not over after they were eliminated in the group stages.

Jarrad Branthwaite featured just 10 times in the Premier League last season, but he has returned for pre-season training and should be involved.

New signings Hayden Hackney, Merlin Rohl and Tyrique George will be looking to show fans what they can bring again, if they are handed an opportunity.

There may also be chances for academy starlets, such as Braiden Graham, who has been pictured as part of the squad.

Mark Travers is predicted to start between the sticks with Pickford's absence.

The backline is expected to consist of Jake O'Brien, James Tarkowski, Branthwaite and Vitalii Mykolenko.

Hackney could be given his chance in the engine room, with Rohl or James Garner potentially lining up alongside him.

Harrison Armstrong may get a chance in the number 10 role, with Tyler Dibling and Tyrique George predicted to line-up on the flanks.
