David Moyes exit point raised after Everton deadline day chaos - 'Crikey'

David Moyes could face an uncertain future after a turbulent deadline day at Everton.

Finch Farm was the destination for a Toffees calamity to see out the transfer window.

Moyes had already complained of a thin squad in L3, but it only got worse.

Tim Iroegbunam, Iliman Ndiaye, Nathan Patterson and Beto were all let go, while only Jack Grealish and Ainsley Maitland-Niles came in.

Throw in the failure to seal a deal for Folarin Balogun and it brought down the curtain on a shocking transfer window.

It's fair to say that the Everton fans are disgusted by what's happened, sparking questions of where Moyes sees his future.

Could David Moyes walk out on Everton?

The Blues have been left with just 18 first-team players moving into the opening half of the season.

That features just one recognised striker in the shape of Thierno Barry, which is totally ludicrous.

There has been no statement from Everton to explain what has happened as radio silence is all fans have been privy to at this stage.

That has prompted many questions, with one aimed towards Alan Brazil over the future of Moyes.

When asked whether the Scot could hand in his resignation on Merseyside, the talkSPORT host had no doubt in his mind.

Speaking on Thursday, he said: "David won't do that, but he'll thinking to himself, 'Crikey, this is all I need at the start of a hard season'.

"The demonstration is going to come and Manchester United are coming. It's a big game.

"I feel for David. We don't know the ins and outs, but from an Evertonian point of view, you're very disappointed."

That has to act as a positive for the Hill Dickinson faithful as it is all they can truly hang onto at this stage.

Moyes' contract situation will set off alarm bells at Everton

There will be a fear that the Scot could down tools and move on from Merseyside imminently.

That would, unfortunately, be totally justified at this stage.

The biggest problem right now is that Moyes is heading towards the end of his contract on Merseyside.

His current deal expires at the end of the season, so an exit could be on the cards.

After such a shoddy window where he hasn't been backed, is he really going to put pen to paper on fresh terms?
