Alan Myers drops full Everton transfer update live from Finch Farm on deadline day

Alan Myers has dropped a mixed Everton transfer roundup on Tuesday morning.

David Moyes is certainly hoping to add a few more new faces to his Everton squad before the 11pm deadline.

The Toffees have made just the five signings so far this summer, with two of those in Merlin Rohl and Tyrique George being loans turned into permanents.

As a result, there are some Evertonians who aren't overly convinced with the window the Toffees have had.

However, those feelings could very much have changed by the end of play today.

What has Alan Myers said about Richarlison returning to Everton?

It has been reported in recent days that Everton were eyeing a return for Tottenham striker Richarlison.

The Brazilian has been strongly linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer, having joined them from Everton in 2022.

However, reporting outside of Everton's Finch Farm training ground on Tuesday morning for Sky Sports, Myers has poured cold water on that.

"It is my understanding that Richarlison will not be coming to Everton; he is more likely to go to Saudi Arabia," he said.

Whilst this is a blow for Everton, what Myers had to say about potential incomings will more than make up for it.

Everton transfer chiefs are working the phones to try and get some deals done before the deadline.

And according to Myers, two new signings are expected to be made on Tuesday, with the possibility of a third.

"As far as players coming in, (Jack) Grealish is coming back, he is due for his medical on Tuesday morning, it will be a season-long loan and he is in the last year of his contract," Myers revealed.

"Then there is (Folarin) Balogun, the USA striker from Monaco, who is going to cost £40m, with £5m in add-ons, and he is expected at the training ground on Tuesday to complete that move.

"And (Kenny) Tete is their number one target to come in at the right-back position - they nearly signed him from Fulham last season, but they want a replacement first, so that may not happen."

Meanwhile, Myers also offered an update on some outgoings taking place at Hill Dickinson Stadium too.

"And there are five players going out - (Adam) Aznou to Malaga, Beto to Fiorentina, (Tim) Iroegbunam to Hull, (Nathan) Patterson to Torino and (Iliman) Ndiaye to Man City," he concluded.
