David Moyes wants Ben White as Everton told likely Arsenal fee
The Toffees have already shown a key interest in bringing in new defensive options moving closer to the summer window.
Various names have been linked with a Hill Dickinson Stadium move, but it could be a Premier League winner who comes in.
The England international could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium this summer in the aftermath of the Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
White could make a move to Everton with his future looking uncertain in North London at this stage.
David Moyes would like Ben White from Arsenal
The Blues have needed a new right-back option for a while as Jake O’Brien has been forced to play there on a weekly basis.
The Gunners defender could be exactly what is required on Merseyside after a five-season stint in N7.
It appears that his time at the Emirates could be coming to an end after reports suggested that his future there has become clouded by injury.
Everton are said to be interested in his signature, with the hunt for defensive options continuing.
Former Toffees scout and ally of Moyes Bryan King believes he is someone that will be wanted at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “It’s the sort of move that would interest Moyesy.
“He will be looking to sure the side up at the back. He’ll still be a £20m player in today’s market, he’s got to be.
“White would certainly be an experienced player to bring in, that’s for sure.”
Everton may have their hands tied in their efforts to sign White, but it could prove to be a move that is worthwhile for everyone involved.
Everton continue experienced pro scouting mission
The Blues haven’t shied away from adding older players to their squad with a view to building a squad.
That was on show with Jack Grealish, and even Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to an extent, but could be replicated in the upcoming summer window.
White would come in as a 28-year-old, but he has bags of experience after years as a regular with Arsenal, Brighton and Leeds United.
That will be seen as a plus point, but his reported £150,000 per week wage may scupper things somewhat.
It is a problem that emerges with older players, but it may prove to be worth every penny if a cut-price transfer fee could be agreed with the Gunners.
