Everton in active Jonathan Rowe negotiations as they get ready to pay big fee for deal

Everton are looking for attacking reinforcements with Bologna's Jonathan Rowe emerging as an option.

Plenty of work in the forward department could still be needed this summer.

David Moyes' side are still without Jack Grealish, whose potential return is still yet to be negotiated with Manchester City.

Additionally, in attack, the future of Iliman Ndiaye is up in the air, following multiple reports over the last week.

Ndiaye has been widely linked with a move to Al Hilal, which would leave Everton in a tricky spot.

Rowe could ultimately come in to add more creativity and pace to Moyes' forward line with Everton willing to go quite big for the winger.

How much do Everton want to pay for Jonathan Rowe?

Goodison News has been following Everton's pursuit of Rowe, with links re-emerging in the last week.

The Englishman has been on the Blues' radar for quite some time, with interest dating back to last summer.

Talks have seemingly taken place as according to journalist Sean Lunt, who has over 8300 followers on X and writes for Sports Witness, Everton and Bologna are apart in their valuation of Rowe.

The information shared online suggests that while Everton are ready to pay £29.9million to get the transfer over the line, the Serie A club are holding out for £34.2m.

However, the Toffees are boosted in their advances for the winger, as the 23-year-old wants to return to England to play in the Premier League.

And that will surely provide plenty of encouragement on Merseyside.

How Rowe performed last season as Everton talks continue

Rowe was in and out of Bologna's side last campaign, starting just 17 games in the Serie A as per Sofascore.

However, despite that sporadic involvement, the Englishman did end the season top of Bologna's big chances created chart.

Rowe created five big chances for his teammates, but his efforts would only be rewarded with two assists, while he scored three goals himself.

The Serie A is known to be a more defensive league than the Premier League with fewer goals and that was statisitically evident.

The English top flight had 123 more goals scored (1045) than the Italian top flight (922).

With more opportunity for scoring in the Premier League, Rowe's efforts at creating chances could end up reaping more rewards in L3.
