Everton set sights on signing Taras Mykhavko: Why he's perfect for David Moyes and how much he'll cost
Everton are reportedly interested in signig Dynamo Kyiv defender Taras Mykhavko this summer.
Since the end of last season, Hayden Hackney is the only new face to arrive at Hill Dickinson Stadium, despite Evertonians believing that their side will have an active summer.
Tyrique George and Merlin Rohl have both joined on permanent deals following loan spells last term, but the Blues are still in desperate need of defensive and attacking reinforcements.
One way that the Toffees are looking to bolster their options at the back is by signing Ukraine international Mykhavko.
According to talkSPORT and GiveMeSport journalist Ben Jacobs on Thursday afternoon, Mykhavko is "on the radar" of Everton, with AFC Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest also keen.
However, if the young defender's self-appraisal is anything to go by, a switch to Hill Dickinson to play for Moyes is his best bet.

With 89 senior appearances already under his belt for Dynamo Kyiv, as well as a solitary international cap for Ukraine, Mykhavko has a lot of experience under his belt for a 21-year-old centre-back.
And based on his media activity for Dynamo, he's also got a mature head on his shoulders - something that Moyes would no doubt adore.
"There is no other option but to work," he told Dynamo.Kyiv.Ua in May.
He also revealed in that interview that he has immense strength for his age because he "helped around the house, carried water and firewood" when he was a child.
The Ukraine international also interestingly added that he's heard he's been valued up to £17.1m by Dynamo, based on reports he's seen about his future.
In a separate interview, the Lviv-born ace also spoke about his versatility, saying that he'll essentially play wherever his manager wants him to play.
"I don't care what position I play - center back, full back or left back. The main thing is that the coach trusts me," he said in July 2024.
Everton no doubt need to get a shuffle on to improve their squad ahead of the upcoming 2026-27 season, with Mykhavko one of several defenders now linked with a move to Hill Dickinson.
How does Everton's Mykhavko interest stack up with other links?
Goodison News is currently reporting a lot on Everton's hunt to sign a new right-back, with Celtic's Alistair Johnston now a serious option for Moyes.
Mykhavko has said that he'll play at right-back, but an out-and-out option there is needed and not another Jake O'Brien-type centre-back who can simply 'do a job' in that role.
Neom SC's Nathan Zeze is a centre-back option for the Toffees. He's another 21-year-old who's attracting attention in the Premier League.
It would be a surprise to see Everton try to sign both him and Mykhavko, but there is a theme that the Blues are seeking out deals for young centre-backs who might not be ready for first-team duties right away, but could be long-term successors for the likes of James Tarkowski and have a solid amount of resale value.
