Everton are reportedly set to make a move for Bodo/Glimt winger Jens Petter Hauge, who could be a perfect fit in David Moyes' side.

The 26-year-old has been the subject of reported interest from numerous Premier League clubs, one of which being Everton.

With the Toffees futures of Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish uncertain, signing a new left winger could be a big priority at Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer.

Goodison News has exclusively revealed that Everton may need to pay over £30million if they are to capture Hauge's signature this summer.

He's established himself as one of the best left wingers in Norwegian football over the past few years, having made 111 appearances and netted 28 goals for Bodo/Glimt.

And, judging by his underling numbers in Eliteserien (Norway's top division), it's no surprise as to why Moyes is seemingly keen to bring the Norwegian international to Merseyside.

Jens Petter Hauge excels in link-up play

Hauge probably isn't thinking too much about his club future at the moment, as he's part of Norway's World Cup team in North America.

As such, any movement on the transfer front for him may have to wait until Stale Solbakken's side have finished their tournament campaign.

Moyes likes his wingers to be able to link-up with his midfielders and centre-forward, with the likes of Ndiaye, Grealish, Dwight McNeil and even Tyler Dibling all confident in possession and strong passers of the ball.

Hauge certainly fits that mould too, as proven by his numbers for Bodo/Glimt since his move back there in January 2024.

As per FotMob, no left winger in Eliteserien has more successful passes (565), has taken more touches (828) or won more possessions in the final third (12) than Hauge from his first 10 appearances in 2026.

He's also completed 16 successful dribbles, played 26 accurate long balls with a success rating of 74.3 per cent and created 20 chances.

2025 also saw him top Eliteserien among his positional rivals for successful passes (1,362), touches (2,116), touches in the opposition box (211) and possessions won in the final third (27).

And, you guessed it, Hauge once again led the Norwegian top flight among left wingers in 2024 for successful passes (1,079), touches (1,766) and touches in the opposition box (183) respectively.

2025 saw him score 15 goals and provide nine assists from 45 total appearances, whilst he registered 12 goals and 10 assists in 51 games in 2024 respectively.

Why Hauge deal may be complicated

Evidently then, he would fit right into Everton's attacking philosophy, and would be an exciting addition to Moyes' squad.

Given his playmaking ability and eagerness to get on the ball, it's safe to say that the Toffees could deploy him pretty much anywhere across the forward line and in midfield.

Because of that, Everton fans probably shouldn't view him as a target only if Ndiaye was to leave or Grealish wasn't re-signed.

However, bringing him to Hill Dickinson Stadium may prove a tough task, as he's contracted with Bodo/Glimt until 31 December 2028.

In addition to that, Eintracht Frankfurt - the team who sold Hauge to Bodo/Glimt - hold a reported 20 per cent sell-on clause on the winger, meaning they'd be entitled to a large chunk of any sale this summer.

Bodo/Glimt may then feel the need to bump Hauge's price tag up further, and whilst Everton have cash to spend, they will have their limit on what they're prepared to pay.
